RAQUELA OPENING IN NEW YORK AND LA
LOS ANGELES – August 27, 2008 - here! Films, the theatrical distribution and worldwide sales division of here! Networks, has acquired North American distribution rights to “The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela,” a new film from Icelandic filmmaker Olaf de Fleur. Regent Releasing will distribute the film in select cities this Fall starting with New York and Los Angeles on September 26th. Read More
PREMIERE IN ICELAND
REYKJAVIK - Queen Raquela will premiere in a wide release in Iceland on the 10th October. The film will show in five theaters around the native country of the director Olaf de Fleur.
RAQUELA TO BRAZIL AND FINLAND
"The Amazing Truth about Queen Raquela" by director Olaf de Fleur has been selected for the Helsinki International Film Festival and Festival do Rio in Brazil. Festival do Rio, which first took place in 1999 as a result of the merger of Brazil’s two largest film events, Rio Cine Festival (founded in 1984) and Mostra Banco Nacional do Cinema (founded in 1988), is Brazil and South America's largest film festival and industry event. In my first visit to Cebu City in the Philippines, I happened to be walking in one of the poor neighbourhoods when I where I saw three girls who were at odds with the location. "RAQUELA" WINS IN BERLIN
"The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela” a film by director Olaf De Fleur that was premiered in the Panorama main section at the Berlin film festival won the prestige Teddy awards for the best feature. The Teddy awards have been presented at the Berlin film festival from the year 1980 and last night was the twenty second time they were given away.
